Through this new post, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher driving improvements in Literacy and Numeracy across the curriculum. This post offers a unique opportunity for a teacher with experience of teaching primary at KS2, who is interested in transferring their knowledge and skills into a secondary setting.
The successful candidate will join our Inclusion team and focus on two areas:
● Teach English and Maths to identified small groups of students primarily in Year 7 and Year 8, coordinating, planning and delivering interventions as appropriate to accelerate their progress in these two core subjects
● You will use your primary maths and English expertise and knowledge of learners with learning gaps, to work with our teaching and learning team, identifying strategies and supporting staff’s subject knowledge and development of teaching and learning in this area.
We are committed to continuous professional learning which is built into our school day each fortnight for all staff. We offer leadership training through the NPQML and NPQSL programmes, alongside mentoring and coaching to support and develop leadership potential and career progression in the future. We actively support and promote progression with Cathedral Schools Trust (CST).
