Teacher (Maternity Cover) job summary

Acomb Primary School are seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to work with a reception class as part of our Early Years team.  As well as a great teacher who will take full responsibility for all aspects of planning and teaching their own class, we are looking for someone who will work closely with other members of the team – teachers and teaching assistants – to continue the excellent work of our reception year.  This will include:

*Communicating effectively with parents
*Actively seeking your own CPD opportunities as well as engaging with school led training·        
*Helping to develop the new Early Years curriculum and assessment
*Creating an inviting, inspiring and safe classroom and outdoor area that are stimulating and engaging places to learn
*Working with colleagues on whole school /phase themes
