Teacher (Maternity Cover) job summary
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Class Teacher to join our fabulous school to cover a Maternity Leave. There is flexibility at present as to which year group the successful candidate will teach in, as well as part-time or full time being considered.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for, and commitment to, teaching children with complex learning needs. Initially the successful candidate will be teaching early years pupils with diverse needs including SLD and ASC. Teachers with special school, mainstream or early-years experience are welcome to apply.

We are a Specialist School for Cognition and Learning and work with parents/carers, schools and other agencies in our community to share practice, an all-age generic special school taking pupils from the age of 2 to 19 with a weekly, 15 place residential provision, Blossom House. Vale of Evesham school is a member of CLPT who work collaboratively and share expertise to improve opportunities and life chances for all our young people.
We strive to provide an inclusive, holistic provision that ensures the security and care for every child, thereby enabling them to reach their full potential in an encouraging and supportive environment. As such we are the ‘Local Offer’ for South Worcestershire.
The pupils play a key part in their learning. When asked about what they liked best about school, the answers ranged from ‘prizes at the end of the day’ to ‘I have friends and people look out for you here’. They also thought that ’computers and Numicon’ helped them learn best.
Our staff are highly skilled and creative in ensuring all pupils have a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. Pupils have stated ‘I like to work and the lessons are interesting and fun’ and ’the teachers always help you.’
