The successful candidate will inspire and motivate students and department colleagues alike to ensure that they achieve their full potential. You will be engaging, enigmatic and enthusiastic while maximising the enjoyment, engagement and outcomes of young people within the faculty. You will develop innovative, non-traditional approaches to the subject matter in order to ensure appropriate access and achievement for all students.

This role would be suitable for a more experienced colleague; however enthusiasm, passion and a commitment to inspiring young people are more important than years of experience.

At King Edward VII Academy we are fully committed to encouraging and developing all of our students to achieve their full potential.

There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to take on the role of Progress Leader for our Year 8 students. This involves working closely with the year group and other Progress Leaders and the wider academy staff to address and support students to achieve their full potential through addressing academic, behavioural and working closely with the Student Support Leader to support all pastoral aspects of student care.

Our students range from age 11 to 18, including students in our well-respected and ‘Good’ Sixth Form.

There are ample opportunities to develop extra-curricular activities and interests at King Edward VII Academy where we take a holistic view of education.
