It’s been a great year for Hewett Academy with record breaking GCSE results, 8 pieces of artwork in the Royal Academy, a complete school rebuilding project on the horizon, an Ofsted grading of “Good with Outstanding features” and results that make us the 4th highest performing in Norfolk and the 3rd most improved on progress in England! We now have an exciting opportunity for a Maths teacher to join our committed and hardworking team at Hewett Academy. Applications from Early Careers Teachers are welcomed and encouraged.

The main responsibility of this role will be:
- To ensure pupils receive an excellent education through the delivery of high-quality teaching
- To monitor and support overall progress and development of students as a teacher and therefore contribute to raising standards of student attainment
- To offer active support for the School’s Policy and Procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS.
- Qualified Teacher Status (trainees should be on track to achieve QTS before taking up the post).
- Experience of teaching the subject in a secondary school across the 11-16 age range.
- Experience of the wider role of a teacher in the personal development of pupils, including the main responsibilities of a form tutor.
- Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
