Nelson Academy have an exciting opportunity for a full time Teacher with either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 experience to complement our talented, committed and happy education team. This position is permanent and is due to start for the autumn term 2025 or sooner if available.
Our school is very much a part of the local community in Downham Market, and being part of the Trust certainly helps us to build upon this by making links with other academies in the Trust. Role Purpose
To achieve high professional standards in teaching and learning within the faculty to ensure that pupils’ knowledge, understanding and achievement are of the highest levels within the specific subject. To develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences for all students and carry accountability for the learning and achievement of all students taught, developing independent students able to progress into adult life with the skills required.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or equivalent and QTS
- Teaching qualification
- Classroom experience
- Awareness of strategies available to improve the learning and achievement of all students
- Ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies
- Knowledge of current issues and developments in education
- Confident user of standard IT packages, particularly when used to enhance student learning
- Behaviour management techniques
