Teacher (Nursery Plus) job summary
Salary: MPS - UPS - £32,916-£51,048 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked) + TLR2A £3527 per annum
Working Pattern: This is a full time, permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year.
This permanent position is required to lead our Early Years Nursery Plus Team based at Orchard Vale Community School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and well-organised individual with a passion for improving the outcomes of Early Years children with SEND and/or additional needs.
As a member of Harbour School Partnership, we actively work together on improving outcomes for its staff and pupils.
We are looking to appoint a Teacher who can:
Develop and model high-quality inclusive EYFS practice for all children on the Nursery Plus caseload. Assess and identify individual needs to support learning and development in the EYFS prime areas of learning in partnership with school/setting staff. Support Early Years settings with observation, assessment, and planning to deliver appropriate learning opportunities to meet the needs and accelerate progress of all children on the Nursery Plus caseload. Provide support and guidance to Nursery Plus Practitioners in relation to EYFS practice, supporting vulnerable groups and SEND, including regular support and supervision relating to the caseload. Provide additional support in base school in relation to Nursery Plus. Build effective relationships with a range of partners and agencies to ensure children's needs are met in a cohesive and aligned manner. Work in and support local settings to provide a high-quality, inclusive EYFS for all children including those on the Nursery Plus caseload. Support transition for children from settings into school reception classes as appropriate. Ensure school and Nursery Plus safeguarding policies and procedures are followed appropriately. Ensure Nursery Plus team practitioners are up to date with current training. Work effectively alongside team members and show an exceptionally strong level of commitment. Be committed to ensuring excellence, inclusion, and high expectations. Support Nursery Plus as a service to develop and improve through quality assurance and strategic planning. Work collaboratively with a range of professionals. Collaborate and be part of the wider school community. Undertake other duties as may from time to time be required.This permanent position to lead our Early Years Nursery Plus Team is from the 20th April 2026 (start date is flexible for the right candidate) based at Orchard Vale Community School.
