We are a strong team and student progress is at the heart of all that we do. Our teams focus on teaching, learning & assessment has been instrumental in achieving positive value added outcomes and facilitating students progression towards exciting future destinations. Successful applicants will join a friendly and open team who have a culture of seeking and sharing best practice. They can expect full support from a curriculum leader and assistant curriculum leader, who deliver weekly team meetings that take place during the college day. In Business and Accounting, we aim to grow our students aspirations and this is evidenced by our high expectations in lessons and initiatives outside of lessons, in which students have the opportunity to work with outstanding local universities and visit international businesses such as Morgan Motors, Gymshark and Innocent Smoothies to see business in action. In Law, teachers follow a common syllabus with resources provided by topic. Students enjoy the knowledge based approach with an emphasis on practice and analysis techniques. Visits to Crown and Magistrates Courts, as well as the Supreme Court and Parliament help contextualise learning and provide welcome enrichment opportunities for students. We value the fresh ideas, impetus, and strategies a new member of the team can bring. All members of the team are given autonomy and responsibility to lead on aspects of their relevant specification and as a result, all benefit from each others preparation, resources and expertise. COURSE PROVISION A LEVEL ACCOUNTING NEW in 2019/20. Follows the AQA specification and the course is delivered over two years. In the first two years, 3 sets were recruited with an expected increase in 21/22. A LEVEL BUSINESS STUDIES follows the EDEXCEL specification and the course is delivered over two years. It is a popular course with 13 sets spread over years 12 and 13.
