Teacher of Art 0.8FTE- April 2021, Mat Cover job summary
We wish to appoint a Teacher of Art to work in our successful Art department where GCSE and A Level results are significantly above average. This is a part time temporary post (0.8FTE) to cover a maternity leave.
In 2020, the department achieved 86% A*-B grades at A Level and at GCSE 30% 9-7 grades.
The department is a closely-knit team of 4 colleagues who collaborative on creative schemes of learning. Everyone has an input.
The Art rooms are specialised and the department is well-stocked with resources. Student’s artwork is displayed all over the split site school.
Depending upon experience, GCSE and A Level work maybe available. The department also teaches a Photography exam course.
We are seeking a teacher who is:
An Art specialist with the ability to teach Key Stages 3 & 4.
Keen to enthuse and challenge our comprehensive in range student population.
Able to work in a team, accept advice and instruction and, where necessary, deliver on behalf of the team.
Committed to excellent subject knowledge and the highest standards of student learning.
