Teacher of Art and Design (with the opportunity to teach Maths as a second subject) job summary
We are looking to appoint a part-time, teacher of Art and Design. There is a possibility to increase the days worked if you can offer Maths as a second subject. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking team who are fully committed to innovative teaching methods, which motivate and engage all students.
Applicants must be able to teach across the whole ability range and should bring with them enthusiasm and expertise in the teaching of Art and Design up to KS4. The ability to teach KS5 would be advantageous but is not essential.
Extra-curricular opportunities are also an integral part of our curriculum and delivering this will be an important part of the role.
Applications from well-qualified ECTs are encouraged.
Our 11-18 school is at an exciting stage in its development. Our dedicated new Sixth Form building opened to students in January 2021, and the Mulberry Centre, a 24 place SEND setting, opened in November 2021. Our 11-18 school is located in the village of Stowupland in one of the most rural parts of Mid-Suffolk. It opened in 1978 and its buildings were designed to blend with the local architecture.
We opened our new, dedicated Sixth Form building in January 2021.
Stowupland is part of the John Milton Academy Trust and we are fully committed to the Trust's vision of ambition, aspiration and excellence across all aspects of Trust working. The Trust presently comprises four schools in rural mid-Suffolk with two additional centres for cognition and learning located on school sites.
