Teacher of Art and Photography job summary
The opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an inspiring and engaging Teacher of Art and Photography from 1st September 2022. This is a full time position which is one year fixed term in the first instance.
Richard Lander School is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and versatile teacher of Art and Photography. The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range up to GCSE standard.
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and those who are at the beginning of their career. The key is that you are dedicated, enthusiastic and creative with an ability to contribute to the further development of Art within the school. You will be joining a school with platinum Artsmark status which places high value on all aspects of the creative arts. There is also a real sense of community and you should also be able and willing to contribute to the wider offer of extra-curricular activities that are available to our students.

Richard Lander School is a popular school, over subscribed in several year groups. We have 1500 students on roll and this number is growing.
Mr Steve Mulcahy, is our Headteacher and has been since 2008. The building and grounds are part of a PFI contract and are maintained to a very high standard.
We have high standards of our students and the staff who work with them. We have an ARB on site which is very much part of our school. We drive to ensure that everyone can 'be the best that they can be' and this includes both staff and students. Our standards are high and our aim is for all children to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
