This role would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an NQT looking to start their teaching career within a MAT which provides lots of opportunities as well as working within a supportive department. Uffculme Academy Trust consists of five schools in Devon and Somerset, three secondary schools and two primary schools. Axe Valley currently has approximately 600 students in Years 7–11. The Academy is located in the East Devon area of the country, in the beautiful market town of Axminster, which is set on the River Axe. Axminster is just a few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site but has excellent rail links to London and Exeter.
This is a really exciting post for a candidate who wants to make a difference to our students. We will ensure the successful candidate has evidence-informed professional learning (CPD), a sensible workload, including no written marking in exercise books and be part of a great team. The Trust offers a staff wellbeing programme including discounted access to its sports facilities.
Teacher of Art job summary
If you have the desire to make a real difference to the lives of young children and want to join a team of highly dedicated staff, then we would love to hear from you. An interest in, or the ability to teach photography, would be desirable though not essential.
