About the role: Ebbsfleet Academy has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Art/Design and Technology to join our highly experienced and successful department from September 2022. We are seeking applications from outstanding teachers with integrity, imagination and energy for this position. Our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A subject relevant degree
PGCE/QTS or equivalent
Excellent working knowledge of the Curriculum for KS3 and KS4 and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work.
The ability and drive to teach across the department’s specialisms at KS3 – DT; Art; Textiles and Food Technology.
A very good level of subject knowledge, including A Level (desirable but not essential) and sound practical skills.
Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning.
The ability to implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
The ability to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies.
The ability to reflect on your own practice and welcome professional development
An understanding of the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students.
The ability to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff
A good level of ICT skills.
A good understanding of CAD/CAM and how to use – 2D Design; 3D Printer (desirable); Photoshop (desirable) and Laser Cutter.
The ability to communicate positively with parents, carers and other external agencies where necessary
Excellent time management skills in order to lead and manage their own work effectively.
This is a full-time, permanent position and the salary offered is MPS/UPS commensurate with experience + London Fringe Allowance.
