Teacher of Art job summary

Grace College are looking to recruit a Teacher of Art who will enthuse pupils to learn with a combination of great subject knowledge, energy and dedication.

We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled artist and teacher who will deliver an outstanding curriculum and co-curricular provision at Grace College, working with the Director of Arts and Events. An inspirational teacher, you will be able to teach at Key Stages 3 and 4 offering experience of teaching GCSE Art & Design (AQA). Our arts team are all well qualified and have industry experience and we are looking for an artist who can offer the same wider experience. We welcome applications from teachers in the art field who are forward-thinking and experienced in a wide range of art styles and media, but who also have a firm understanding and knowledge of art history. An artist who thrives on engaging creative minds, and inspiring students to explore the numerous art galleries of our region to support learning. We are seeking an art practitioner who is a motivated teacher, adaptable and creatively inspiring, to join a team that is committed to achieving academic excellence in their teaching of the arts to students of a wide ability range between the ages of 11 and 16.
