What skills and experience we're looking for
King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art teacher to join an exceptional department. This post is part-time (0.7fte) although additional hours or a full-time appointment may be considered for a strong candidate who can offer a second subject. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
Art is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form and the appointed teacher will have the opportunity over time to teach from Year 7 to A-level. With 67% of grades at 9-7 and 100% of grades at 9-4 in GCSE Art in 2022, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. A-level builds on success at GCSE with 79% of students gaining A*-B grades in 2022. We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
