About the Role

As a Teacher of Art & Photography, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students to explore their creativity and develop technical artistic skills.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Art and Photography curriculum.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the academy and its extra-curricular opportunities.

You’ll join a collaborative department that values teamwork, innovation, and professional growth, supported through the Consilium Centre for Professional Learning, which provides access to tailored training and development opportunities.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Art and Photography.
  • Is passionate about inspiring students and raising aspirations.
  • Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and resilience in their approach to teaching.
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion, equality, and high standards for all.

Experience of teaching across the 11-16 age range and familiarity with current GCSE specifications is desirable.
