The school has operated as a standalone Academy since June 2011 and has since benefitted from the PSBP programme; enabling a move to new state of the art facilities in January 2015. Student recruitment is strong and the Academy has been oversubscribed in Year 7 for each of the last 3 years. This is also the case for September 2021, whilst Sixth Form numbers are also increasing.
