What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dynamic and committed professional to join our amazing school asa Teacher of Art and Designfrom September 2024. You will be an ambitious, motivated and compassionate teacher committed to improving life chances for our students. The school is on a rapid improvement journey and you will need to be fully committed to investing time, effort and expertise with all teams at the school to further contribute to this journey.
The Visual Art Department is a small, friendly, supportive and collaborative team with a recently appointed Head of Department. You may be an expert in only one of these subjects but all schemes of work are in place and you will be fully supported in the role. The Art Department offer both Art and Photography at KS4 and Art/Textiles at KS5.
As part of this journey with us you will find it extremely rewarding personally and professionally; there can be significant barriers and challenges to overcome but our children, their families, the wider community and the school itself all deserve to have the very best people championing them whilst maintaining high standards.
