About Tauheedul Islam Girls' High School and Sixth Form College

Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School is a Muslim faith-based secondary school and sixth form for 11 to 18 year old girls, which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. We are extremely proud to be one of the highest performing schools in the country, with the highest Progress 8 score nationally for our 2019 GCSE results. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

You will have:

-A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
-The ability to teach to GCSE standard
-Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
-Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.

Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School and Sixth Form College in Blackburn is an 800 place 11-18 girls’ secondary school, which includes a 200 place sixth form. It is a specialist humanities school. Like all Star schools, it also has “Leadership” as a specialism.

TIGHS was Star’s first school and has a strong history of excellence in every aspect of school life, achieving Ofsted “outstanding” on three consecutive occasions.
