Teacher of Biology job summary
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Science specialist to join our successful Science Faculty in our highly successful, partially selective school. You will have a passion for Science and the skills to engage students across the age and ability range.
We are ideally seeking a Biology specialist, with A Level teaching available to suitably qualified candidates. The successful applicant will be able to teach all of the science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at KS3. At GCSE, staff usually teach within their specialism.
Science at Parmiter’s attracts a large number of students to the Sixth Form and there will be 17 A Level Science teaching groups next academic year. We are proud that many of our students go on to study Science related degrees. We teach in a new, purpose-built Science block with 12 high-specification teaching laboratories and are supported by specialist technicians.
We welcome applications from teachers looking for either a full-time or part-time role. If you are interested in part-time, please ensure you state this on your application and indicate your preferred contract (e.g. 0.6, 0.8 etc). The role is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Parmiter’s coordinates CPD for the Watford Partnership for Teacher Training and offers a robust induction programme. We can offer the successful candidate:
July 1st start date for ECTs with a comprehensive programme to support the Early Career Framework and bespoke CPD to suit your career goals.
Focus on Staff Well-Being with an online GP service, Employee Assistance Programme, complimentary use of the on-site Fitness Suite and an on-site subsidised electric vehicle charging point.
A high quality and well-resourced teaching environment with highly talented and engaged students.
