Teacher of Business and ICT job summary
We are looking for an outstanding Business and ICT teacher to join our enthusiastic and committed department. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and inspirational professional who is ready to develop their career in a friendly and supportive school. We would welcome applications from either a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding practitioner, with excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to teach across the age and ability range up to GCSE/Level 2. A holistic approach to teaching Business is required, with the ability to teach ICT in Key Stage 4, so that our students gain a varied skill set that will enable them to access the courses in Year 10. A specialism in Key Stage 4 Creative iMedia would be advantageous, as would the ability to teach key stage 3 mathematics.
Business and ICT are two successful, well-established areas of the school running courses in: GCSE Edexcel Business and Creative iMedia as well as Level 3 Digital Film Production and A Level EDEXCEL Business. The subject uptake is strong in all areas; we have a great team of teachers and technicians producing quality work with our students in the department. We are all passionate about our subjects helping to influence the next generation of designers, engineers and chefs. We have a mixture of multipurpose rooms, which are well stocked with both traditional and modern tools/equipment so the students are given a broad range of experiences.
You will be a person who thrives on challenge, enjoys working with young people and is passionate about seeing them achieve.
The person we are looking for should be:
• a creative and highly effective teacher, with an enthusiasm for enabling young people to achieve
• self-motivating, and with excellent time-management skills;
• a team player who wants to work and engage with colleagues at all levels within the school.
