Teacher of Business/Economics

For January 2020

Salary range: M1 (£24,373) – UPS3 (£40,490) per annum

(With NQTs accelerated to M2/ £26,298 subject to successful completion of professional review at end of term one)

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, ambitious and innovative teacher to join a successful and progressive Humanities Faculty. We are a strong team which values working with young people and promoting students’ lasting enthusiasm of Humanities subjects. Business and Economics at Cheney School are valued subjects and the need for more teaching is due to increasing numbers. We offer the Edexcel Business GCSE and the AQA Economics A Level.

We would welcome a team player who is keen to work and plan collaboratively and contribute to a strong culture of sharing best practice, resources and ideas. This exciting post offers Business and Economics teaching across KS4-5, together with a possibility of also teaching History/RE across KS3-5.

We will need you to:

Be passionate about helping students make excellent progress and reach their potential;

Have a proven track record as an outstanding and creative practitioner;

Have the desire and enthusiasm to play an active and collaborative role in contributing to a strong culture of sharing best practice, resources and ideas;

Demonstrate the talent, interpersonal and leadership skills required to inspire and motivate students.

We can offer you:

Salary: £24,373 - £40,490 per annum (with NQTs starting on M2/ £26,298, subject to successful professional review) Payment is on Teacher Main Scale or Upper Pay scale.
