As a result of the determination to ensure that our curriculum is relevant and responsive to student interest and ambition, an opportunity has arisen for a creative and dedicated Teacher of Business to join our very strong Business and Computing department from 1st September 2020. The position is flexible and can be part or full time and is temporary to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate’s energy, enthusiasm and desire to inspire a love of the subject will shine through. They will be contributing to a cohesive, innovative, professional and highly effective team of specialists.
In addition, the post-holder will have every opportunity to progress due to the school’s highly developed and personalised approach to training and professional development. We welcome NQTs and experienced teachers to apply.

The John Henry Newman School is a popular 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school in Stevenage, and is a member of the Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust. The school serves the Catholic community across north Hertfordshire and as far south as Hatfield, with pupils from more than 25 different parishes. It has an excellent reputation; it is heavily oversubscribed and there are continuing interest lists for all year groups. The roll is currently 1555, including 435 in the Sixth Form.
