Southam College is a high performing and oversubscribed 11-18 School set in the heart of Warwickshire close to Coventry, Leamington, Banbury and Leicester. In 2014 we were rated as ‘outstanding’ for the second time by Ofsted and in 2018 88% of students achieved Grade 4 and above in English and Maths. Our progress 8 score in Maths for 2018 was 0.55. We are determined to build on this success by continuing to:
• Raise achievement at GCSE and ‘A’ level
• Develop our Learning and Teaching skills
• Enhance the range of Memorable Experiences available to our students
We are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of Business Studies with the potential to teach Economics to join our successful team from September 2019. The successful applicant will be an inspirational forward thinker with a focus on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences and have a belief in our ‘can do’ culture where anything is possible.
At our school we value all our staff and every one of our 1665 students and see the investment in our staff as crucial in building upon our previous successes (World Class School status 2018, Ofsted outstanding 2011 and 2014). As a large school there are extensive opportunities to teach throughout all Key Stages including Sixth Form (we currently have 298 students in our Sixth Form). Southam College is an 11-18 school set in the heart of rural Warwickshire with 1643 students on roll, 298 of who are in the Sixth Form.
