Teacher of Business Studies job summary
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to work in Gloucestershire’s largest comprehensive school.
We are delighted to be looking to appoint a Business Studies teacher (0.6 - 1 FTE) to the Business Department. You will teach a variety of academic and vocational courses across Year 10 - 13, from Eduqas GCSE, and OCR L2 in Enterprise / Marketing at KS4 to Eduqas A-level Business and OCR L3 Business at KS5.
The department is one of the most popular and oversubscribed areas of the school at both KS4 and KS5. We have made exciting progress in recent years, developing the department into a key and proud feature of the school and local community. The department prides itself on offering fun, engaging and memorable lessons, which challenge students’ deeper thinking and learning.
You will have a thirst for learning, a strong knowledge and understanding of Business and be willing to learn and adapt within a very supportive and happy team. You will be a passionate professional who wants to make a difference and help us drive the department forward.

Bournside is the largest comprehensive 11-18 school in Gloucestershire. We are an established single academy trust with a good reputation (Ofsted ‘Good’ rating 2016), wide catchment, and a strong presence in the community. Our school is consistently oversubscribed with a PAN of 300, and most of our students choose to stay with us for their
post-16 study.
Bournside is a mixed, non-denominational academy school for students aged 11 to 18. It is located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It settled in its current location of Warden Hill in the early part of the 1970s and converted to academy status in 2011.
