Teacher of Business Studies (Fixed Term Contract) job summary
We are looking for a creative and inspiring Teacher of Business Studies to join our Outstanding academy. We are interested to hear from either experienced teachers who are aspiring middle leaders, or Newly Qualified Teachers who are seeking a supportive department and academy environment to start their career. We would like to hear from teachers who are passionate about their subject and want to join a rewarding academy and be a part of strong and supportive department. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the high standards set within the academy, and share our vision that nothing is impossible and everything is possible, irrespective of personal characteristics or background. Every problem has a solution.
This post is a 1 year fixed term contract. Full Time or flexible Part Time hours, 2, 3 or 4 days a week and no fixed days to work.

Your opportunity
We are looking for someone who will:
Support the Faculty Director in continuing to deliver our vision of an outstanding, inclusive academy with the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress.
Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and to monitor the effectiveness of learning and teaching within the Faculty.

Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich opened in September 2009 and is judged Outstanding by Ofsted. We have now reached our full capacity of 750 students across Years 7 to 11 and we work in partnership with Harris Federation Post 16. In 2017, we achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.73, which places us in the top 6% of schools nationally.
