Teacher of Business Studies (plus additional subject) job summary

Wardle Academy seek a suitably qualified, dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Business Studies to join our team from September 2020. As well as Business Studies, the successful candidate will be expected to teach an additional National Curriculum subject.
We are always keen to recruit committed individuals with the potential to be exceptional teachers. Ideally a consistently good/outstanding practitioner, you will maximize the potential of our students by raising their aspirations as well as their attainment.

The successful candidate will have the ability to plan effective lessons, using student data to inform planning and progression. You will also have high expectations of students, based on a sound knowledge of their prior and potential attainment. Just as importantly, you will be a team player.

Whilst ensuring effective whole class, group or individual learning opportunities are available to students which engage and challenge all ability levels, you will set high standards of expectations of students’ behaviour through positive classroom discipline.

Wardle Academy was inspected by Ofsted in December 2017 and judged to be good in all aspects. We are determined to carry on improving. An essential part of this is the training and development of staff; we encourage our staff to seek courses and opportunities which help them further their careers, whilst also contributing further to the progression of the Academy.

This role would suit an NQT or an experienced teacher.
