Teacher of Business Studies required for September 2022 job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, committed professional with the enthusiasm to teach Business Studies and preferably Economics, starting in September 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or an early careers teacher of Business Studies and Economics.

The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, positive references and stringent safer recruitment protocols. The suitability of the candidate will be assessed throughout the recruitment process

Business Studies is one of the school's most popular option subjects at both Key stage 4 and 5 and Economics at KS5. We have both a traditional examination route and a vocational strand. We are a highly successful department which has been previously placed in the top 2% nationally for Business and Economics. The ability to teach Economics to A Level would be an advantage.

You will be working with a committed team who are passionate about Business and Economics and who work in an open and collaborative manner sharing best practice to raise standards higher. We can offer you a wide range of support within the department alongside our excellent school wide CPD program.

We expect that you will have evidence of excellent classroom practice and high expectations of pupil attainment and, if overseas trained, we would need evidence that your professional qualifications are recognised in the UK by UK ENIC &/or the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).
