Job summary

We know that exceptional Business Teachers are in high demand which is why we are offering a recruitment and retention bonus of £2,000 for the right candidate (£1,000 payable upon joining, and £1,000 payable after 1 year's service).

About the role: Strood Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic member to join our Business and Enterprise team in the role of Teacher of Business Studies. Currently we deliver L2 Enterprise, L3 Business and LIBF Finance across two key stages. Ideally, our successful candidate will have an understanding of vocational courses and come with a desire to add value to the department, along with helping to develop and guide the young people in which we teach.

We are a dynamic department who aspire for strong subject knowledge and the ability to invest in the future of our school community and to model students in becoming valued and respected members of society.

We are in a unique position to broaden the curriculum in the near future to provide a wide range of courses and curriculum for students by providing them with choices for further education and employment. We have an ever going sixth form where a large percentage of students choose business and finance as part of their natural progression into further education.

The basis of this is role is permanent, offering MPS/UPS based on experience.

Working for Strood Academy: Since opening in 2009, our academy has transformed the educational opportunities and outcomes for girls and boys in Strood.
