The Science department at Nether Stowe School consists of five full time members of staff, one part time member of staff and one laboratory technician. Every member of staff has their own teaching room with access to ICT facilities. The Science KS3 curriculum runs over two years (7 and 8) where staff deliver an innovative and excellent curriculum collaboratively designed by ATLP Schools.
KS4 Science follows the AQA Triple Science and Trilogy Science courses, Triple Science students are taught 14 hours per fortnight and Trilogy 9 hours per fortnight. Additionally, uptake at A-level Science is good, all Sciences are taught at A-Level and students are taught 9 hours per fortnight per subject. The Science department is led by a Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department.
