Skipton Girls’ High School, co-founder of Northern Star Academies Trust, are seeking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of Chemistry to join our strong, vibrant staff team.

As a Chemistry Teacher you will be fully supported by an experienced team of science teachers and technicians who share a vision of effective teaching and learning founded on collaborative planning, assessment and instruction, and who help each other to continually improve practice. We have an open-door culture and reflective ethos where we use lesson study to learn from each other all the time.

We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring teacher to uphold our high quality of teaching. You will be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and personalisation strategies and be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of monitoring and evaluating whilst improving the standard of achievement for all students. You will be confident in your abilities to teach effectively across all Key Stages (3, 4 and Post 16) and a specialism in Chemistry is essential. You will be adept in creating a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for students of all diverse backgrounds. We welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers.
