What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and supportive team of specialist teachers who share a love of the Sciences and the central role they play in all our lives.

The post will be of interest to newly qualified, as well as experienced, teachers who wish to develop professionally and personally in a supportive and happy environment. The team works exceptionally well together, ably led and supported by experienced leaders. There are schemes of work in place for all Key Stages and the department is well-resourced. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach to teach Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Due to the outstanding teaching, supportive systems and positive learning culture, students achieve highly at Waddesdon, with Progress 8 score of +0.65 (Well Above Average) and an exceptionally high Science Valued Added score of +0.85.

You will be:

  • a confident Chemistry teacher (in training, or already established)
  • keen to develop further as a teacher in a supportive, evidence-informed environment
  • passionate about the value of Science for all young adults, whatever their background, or ability

This vacancy is a full-time, permanent position. Serious consideration will be given to requests for part-time teaching as per the details of the advert.
