Teacher of Computer Science job summary

Are you a committed teacher, ready to become a catalyst in computer science education? We are looking for a new member to join our passionate team as Teacher of Computer Science to teach the language of tomorrow and help our students unleash the power of programming. Can you fuel the curiosity and creativity of students in an ever-evolving digital landscape, designing and delivering lessons that explore the latest technologies, coding languages and real-world applications?

We welcome applications from teachers currently delivering computer science but also those aspiring to move in to the subject from other disciplines and establishments, supporting you with relevant training and providing access to further learning to increase subject specialist knowledge.

At Pinner High School, our pedagogical approach is based on the principles of Rosenshine. All our lessons begin with a do now activity, aimed at recalling knowledge. In addition, a high proportion of students are categorised as higher ability, we therefore expect appropriate challenge in learning. Learning episodes contain challenge tasks in addition to main activities which support the progression of all students. Students often use green pens to self assess work and teachers use expert subject knowledge for assessment for learning.

As a member of our school you can expect a wealth of benefits from access to excellent CPD, work/life support and 3 weeks break at Christmas. We have exceptional transport links via train, bus and underground, free gym access and a welcoming community, committed to fostering a supporting and inclusive learning space for all.

Don't miss the chance to be part of an inspiring community transforming learning, fuelling dreams and igniting the futures of tomorrows tech leaders!
