Alder Grange School is a successful 11-19 comprehensive High School. There are approximately 850 pupils on roll including around 140 in the sixth form. Located in the beautiful Rossendale Valley with fantastic countryside views and conveniently close to the Motorways with easy access to Manchester and beyonds. Alder Grange was designated by Ofsted in April 2017 as ‘Good’ in all areas. We are proud of our school’s ethos and ensure that all aspects of our work complement this. Alder Grange has been consistently among the most heavily over-subscribed schools in East Lancashire over many years. Pupils join the school from up to 20 primary schools across Rossendale and from beyond. Most year groups have between 138 and 145 pupils on roll. The school has approximately 50 teaching staff and regards all as ‘Leaders’.
