Teacher of Computer Science and ICT (0.6 WTE) job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join the IT and Computer Science department at St Augustine’s. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering lessons across the broad and exciting curriculum we offer, inspiring students at every stage of their learning journey. At Key Stage 3, all students have a one-hour weekly lesson within the department, exploring creative aspects of IT, programming, and foundational concepts in Computer Science. At Key Stage 4, we provide students with the option to pursue either the Creative iMedia or Computer Science GCSE, enabling them to choose the path that best aligns with their interests and aspirations. At A Level, we deliver the OCR Computer Science qualification, providing opportunities for deeper exploration of the subject. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable teaching across these key stages and contributing to the teaching and development of these courses, either in a leading or supporting role. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful applicant will actively contribute to the department’s extracurricular program, helping to provide enriching opportunities for students to develop their skills, creativity, and passion for IT and Computer Science beyond the classroom.

If you are passionate about empowering students and working collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking department, we would love to hear from you
