Curriculum Leader for MFL required for September 2022 or sooner if available job summary
We are seeking to appoint an innovative, collaborative and committed Curriculum Leader of MFL who is passionate about language learning and enabling students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will lead a curriculum area with a mixture of highly experienced and early career teachers, in a school in which languages are highly valued by the senior leadership team, students and parents/carers. Candidates will have the drive and motivation to continually develop the curriculum team, whilst understanding the importance of developing a positive culture.
Currently we offer German, Spanish and French. All students study a language at Key Stage 3 and MFL is taught to the vast majority of students at KS4. We are very keen to continue to increase the profile of languages across the school, including in the 6th Form and the Curriculum Leader will play a key role in driving this forward.
We are looking for a leader with excellent classroom practice, high expectations of pupil attainment and experience of teaching KS3 to KS5. We would encourage you to apply whether your specialism is French, Spanish or German. If you are overseas trained, we would need evidence that your professional qualifications are recognised in the UK by UK ENIC &/or the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).
