You will have a passion for your subject and the skills to engage students across the age and ability range. We have an ever increasing demand at GCSE and A level and our students consistently achieve excellent outcomes with many going on to study the subject at university. Our students enthusiastically involve themselves in a wide range of subject related enrichment and extracurricular opportunities (including the Year 7 Homebrew club!). 


The role is offered as full-time but applications from those interested in a part-time position will be considered.

Parmiter's School relocated to the current 60 acre rural Hertfordshire site from London's East End in 1977.  The school enjoys a good reputation for traditional values and academic achievement whilst maintaining a true family feel among staff and students.  

Experienced teachers, newly qualified colleagues and support staff benefit from a supportive leadership team who focus on CPD and well-being as a priority.  

Parmiter's is part of the Watford Partnership for Teacher Training and takes the lead on Initial Teacher Training.  A number of existing teachers are accredited with being Specialist Leaders of Education. 

The school is consistently over subscribed for Year 7 and Sixth Form entry.  Children of staff are a priority for admission.
