What skills and experience we're looking for
Full or Part Time Teacher of Computing Permanent Contract Start date: January 2025
Salary: Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (Suitable for ECTs)
A rare opportunity has arisen to join our computing, business and technology faculty, with the opportunity to teach Computing and IT. We are very proud of the value we place in computing across the full curriculum and believe it is absolutely vital that our students are prepared for the 21st century world and workplace, and computing is integral to growing these future learners. If you agree, we’d love to hear from you. If you’d love to work with a full team of specialists, who share your passion, then you’ve just found the job for you.
You will join a close knit team that are achieving special things, with GCSE results above national, and one that is at the forefront of learning across the faculty. We are happy to consider full or part time applicants, and equally those who may also have a second specialism that they would like us to support.
Are you able to:
- Inspire and innovate?
- Nurture and develop (yourself as well as others)?
- Commit to, and raise further, high achievement and motivation?
- Optimise computing learning for all?
What the school offers its staff
We are looking for potential as much as experience so we welcome applications from ITTs. Here’s just a few reasons why you’d be mad not to:
- Our greatest strength is our people and we work hard to make sure you know that. Wellbeing is central to all we do – we have dedicated wellbeing days for staff, early finishes for you to take the time you need, and this year we are trialling a two-week autumn break in the busiest of times
- Our students are exceptional – bright, inquisitive, respectful and diligent and they provide an environment where you can teach and realise your potential, as well as theirs
- Not to mention the Leadership breakfast we cook you now and again, just to say thank you, the end of term events, Easter Eggs, advent calendars, or summer BBQ. Staff wellbeing is at our core and we want you to know that we do what we do because of you
- Planning your lessons is crucial and it’s always easier when we collaborate – we’ve put in place hours of co-planning so that you can share best practice and resources and not have to sit at home doing it on your own.
In addition, we will offer:
- A culture of bespoke professional development from our own Leadership Academy
- The opportunity to make a difference
- Staff iPads
- Benefit schemes
- The benefit of being part of a multi-academy trust offering collaboration, support of experienced colleagues across our schools and greater opportunities for career progression
