Teacher of Computing & ICT job summary
We wish to employ from September 2019 a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Computing and ICT. The post is permanent; full time or part-time will be considered and would suit an NQT or experienced teacher.
Computing is taught to all students through Key Stages 3. At Key Stage 4, students can opt to study Computer Science GCSE as well as Creative iMedia. At Key Stage 5, Computer Science is available as an option for those students who wish continue their studies at A Level. The school has over 1000 computers, many of which are housed in purpose-built IT rooms each with a data projector and interactive whiteboard.
Computing and ICT are successful subjects and are very popular options. Both subjects are taught by a highly committed team of three IT teachers, supported by a team of five technicians. The faculty is committed to improving the ICT capability and digital literacy of all students. A good understanding of both subjects will support academic progress in all areas of the (school) curriculum as well as equipping students with the skills needed for life-long learning.
