Sir John Lawes is an innovative and highly successful school (rated Ofsted Outstanding). We are seeking a well-qualified, engaging and dynamic teacher to join our successful Computing department. We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who is creative and well-organised with a passion for Computing and the ability to teach programming in both visual and textual environments.

Computing at Sir John Lawes is taught at all key stages including A Level and the successful candidate will be required to teach across the full age and ability range. All teaching is undertaken in dedicated computer suites and every faculty member is issued with an iPad and a laptop to support their teaching and learning activities.

We know that recruiting and retaining the best possible staff underpins all our success and so we place great emphasis on CPD and support for staff at all levels. Sir John Lawes has been a National Support School since 2009 and we also benefit from the many opportunities for collaborative work that come from our membership of the Scholars’ Education Trust. ECTs are welcome to apply for this post and will be supported by a comprehensive ECT development programme.
