The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Teacher of DT to work at our Priory Community School – An Academy. This is a very exciting opportunity for an individual who would relish the chance to join us.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspirational Design and Technology Teacher to join our successful; friendly; hard working and supportive Design and Technology team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the further development of the subject. You will have the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range. Working as part of a team delivering KS3 schemes of learning in Product Design, Engineering, CAD. An ability to teach KS3 Food would be desirable but not essential.
The faculty is well supported and students opting to take a D&T subject at KS4 is strong. The subject is well resourced with modern accommodation and equipment including a laser cutter, 3D printers.
It is an exciting time to join the team as we develop our vocational KS4 curriculum further with the introduction of vocational Construction award. An ability to teach either D&T / Engineering / Construction at KS4 would be desirable.

What you will do:
Plan teaching to achieve progression in students’ learning
Set tasks, including homework, which challenge students and ensure a high level of interest
Identifying the needs of individuals and groups within the class, taking note of individual education plans and the requirements of the code of practice, tailoring the teaching to take account of their identified needs
The successful candidates will have:
A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A passion for specialist subject
An ability to teach across a range of students of different ages and abilities
