Teacher of Dance (Maternity Cover) job summary

We have an absolute commitment ensuring that Drama, Dance, Music and other arts subjects play a central role in our curriculum offer. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Dance to join our thriving Performing Arts department on a maternity cover basis.

Dance is a popular subject at Wootton Upper School, with strong student numbers at both GCSE and A Level . The successful candidate will teach AQA GCSE Dance and AQA A Level Dance, working with motivated students who are passionate about the subject. Dance is also covered in the KS3 curriculum to all in Year 9.

You will be joining a supportive and dedicated Performing Arts team within a school that values creativity, collaboration and high academic standards. Our outstanding facilities provide an excellent environment for teaching Dance and supporting both performance and choreography at all key stages.

With Wootton Upper School continuing to grow, we are looking for a teacher who loves their subject, brings enthusiasm and commitment to the classroom, and is eager to inspire the next generation of dancers.

The position is suitable for either a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced practitioner looking for an exciting new challenge.

For a more experienced candidate there is an opportunity to take on the role as Head of Department.
