What skills and experience we're looking for

  • We seek to appoint an outstanding practitioner of Design and Technology. The successful candidate will be required to teach Years 7-11 in a range of DT subjects, but the ability to teach GCSE Food Technology is essential. If you are keen to work in an inspirational and passionate school that puts students at the heart of everything, we would welcome your application. We will consider applications for part time working.

We are looking for an excellent teacher who has:

- A passion for Technology and excellent subject knowledge

- Up to date curriculum knowledge and an awareness of national changes

- A good understanding of the STEM agenda

- A relentless drive to achieve outstanding progress and attainment for every student

- The initiative to develop innovative strategies and share them with staff and students

- Commitment to help improve the extra-curricular programme of the department

- Good organisational and communication skills

- A good sense of humour
