What skills and experience we're looking for

The capacity, flexibility and willingness to teach across the Design & Technology disciplines would be an advantage.

All students follow a comprehensive Key Stage 3 programme for 2 hours per week with many students choosing to continue to Key Stage 4 through either GCSE Design & Technology or GCSE Food, Preparation & Nutrition. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and collaborative department. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach post-16 courses through A-level Product Design or other related courses. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher. There may also be an opportunity for a linked TLR2.1 as Lead Teacher for Learning Technologies for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for a teacher with enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
