This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology specialist looking for their next career move in a high-performing and oversubscribed school. The Technology Department is a small, supportive team, committed to delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum that develops students’ creativity, problem-solving skills and technical expertise. The department benefits from relatively small class sizes, enabling teachers to provide high-quality individual support, build strong relationships with students and maximise opportunities for practical learning. We follow the AQA specification, providing a rigorous and well-established framework that enables students to achieve highly while developing their design and manufacturing knowledge and skills. Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
A track record of exceptional PE teaching (or an ECT aspiring to be outstanding)
Capable of teaching across the Key Stages
Outstanding subject knowledge
A willingness to participate in the wider life of the school including enrichment and PSHE delivery
The ability to inspire excellence in students

Our school is an 11-18 voluntary aided Catholic school in Bath with approximately 1050 students.
In 2019 we were recognised once again as an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in our Section 48 Diocesan Inspection, highlighting our school as a flourishing educational community where every child is valued and encouraged to grow as individuals.
In November 2022, our first Ofsted inspection since July 2013 recognised St Gregory’s as Good overall with outstanding judgements for Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development.
