Teacher of Design Technology job summary
Required for September 2021 an enthusiastic and committed teacher is sought to teach Design Technology, throughout Key Stages 3 and 4, for this heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 18 Church of England Academy. The ability to offer A-Level Product Design would be an advantage.
The Technology Department is very successful and popular offering a wide variety of courses at GCSE. Attainment and progress figures are both significantly above the national average and have been for a number of years. Historically some of our best GCSE Design Technology students go on to study Product Design in our outstanding sixth form and a number of students continue to study the subject at prestigious universities. We have successes in both local and national competitions and regularly have pupils and students awarded the Arkwright scholarship.

St Christopher’s opened in 1958 and is an outstanding 11 - 18 Church of England Academy.Our caring community based on a close partnership between staff, parents, pupils governors we foster strong links with local parishes clergy, six whom serve as School Chaplains.
We emphasise pupils’ whole development, offering high standards teaching range courses to cater for all abilities, wide extra-curriculum making priority spiritual nurture, religious worship at the centre school life. are over-subscribed, flourishing successful – Academy, award-winning “Outstanding School” (SIAMS 2016).
