Successful experience of teaching in a UK secondary school. A clear vision of the place of Design Technology in the curriculum within a school with Business and Enterprise specialism. Knowledge and understanding of current developments in Design Technology. Evidence of high quality classroom practice. A clear understanding of the issues surrounding the teaching, learning and assessment in DT. Ability to develop and sustain a learning culture. Excellent communication skills. To be competent in a range of ICT applications. The ability to build effective relationships, anticipate and solve problems creatively. Commitment to support and develop the values of Bedford High School, its pupils and staff. The ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. A willingness to be generous in time and spirit, have a sense of humour and positive outlook with a determination to succeed. We are looking for someone who has energy, enthusiasm, flexibility and is a team player.
