Cowes Enterprise College is a successful and happy school with strong outcomes. We are part of the Ormiston Academies Trust, a Trust determined to ensure that all young people have access to the highest academic, social and practical skills.
We strive every day to create an education that sees the young people of Cowes and the community beyond get the very best, not just in an academic sense but also in developing the skill set, confidence, attitudes and aspirations that will provide the catalyst for sustained success throughout their lives. Our ambition is to empower students to become independent and confident with the self-belief that they can influence change along with providing the support and guidance to teach them skills they will need in adulthood.
Last year the academy was named in an annex to the Ofsted annual report as an example of a good practice school and this academic year, the academy has been visited by the Permanent Secretary of State for Education who described our technology-based maritime curriculum as “superb”, in particular how our technology team “pair the highest of academic expectations with brilliant practical career work”.
