What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Design & Technology teacher with an infectious passion for the subject and a specialism in Product Design and/or Engineering to join us.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to create innovative and exciting learning opportunities for our students. You will be part of a wider Technology team and will receive excellent support and opportunities for development within the academy and across the Trust.
You must be confident in the delivery of Design and Technology and have the ambition and dedication to continue to develop the curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching. This will include teaching DT across Key Stage 3.
You will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and seek to inspire students within all areas of Technology. You must have the ambition and dedication to continue to support the development of the curriculum and wider curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching.
You will be passionate about your specialism and recognise the importance and impact that these areas of the curriculum have on a student’s wider life, on their ability to be responsible, moral global citizens, ready to take their place in a tolerant and diverse world, confident and well informed to articulate and engage in debate and community life. Your input will be invaluable and must aim to inspire students within all areas of the curriculum.
