The Deanery CE Academy is a growing school, in the heart of the community of Wichelstowe with the most amazing facilities, inspirational staff and incredible students. We believe that we have a duty to enable all our students to flourish when they are at school, to enable them to live life in all its fullness- this is the foundation of our ethos and will form a significant part of our dialogue in all aspects of school life.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join our collaborative and supportive DT Department from September 2023, and join us on this incredible journey, as we enter into our fifth year.
This role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT who is keen to start their career within our Trust and has a real passion for learning and developing a love of learning of their subject to secondary students.
The ideal candidate will be eager to develop their professional capabilities and work alongside established staff to provide high pitch and challenge in lessons.

What the school offers its staff
The Deanery is a Secondary Academy in the heart of the growing canal side community of Wichelstowe, located on the southern edge of the town of Swindon in South West England. constructed from late 2006. Located north of the M4 motorway
The Deanery opened in 2019, and along with Kingfisher Academy which opened it's door in September 2021, forms part of the Wichelstowe Trinity Learning Campus and is part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust .
The Trust was established in 2012 and has steadily grown to currently comprise of 15 Primary Academies and one Secondary.
Our vision is to be a Trust of exceptional academies with strong Christian ethos which provide a values-led education and opportunities for all children to flourish and achieve their fullest potential. We aim for all our academies to be schools of choice, with good or better Ofsted and SIAMS grades, and will work with local communities, staff, children, parents, churches & the wider Diocesan family to achieve this
